MORRIS LYON

Superintendent, Consultant

Morris Lyon is a current superintendent and has served in educational leadership for the past 17 years. He has served in many statewide organizations including the Texas Association of School Administrators, Texas Rural Education Association, Regional Education Service Center Advisory Boards, University Interscholastic League Waiver Board, and Western Governors University-Texas Advisory Board. He also serves as a clinical supervisor for Western Governors University’s teacher field experience and educational leadership. 

One of his district’s campuses was just won a 2019 Blue Ribbon School for closing the achievement gaps. Mr. Lyon was the 2014 Texas Rural Education Superintendent of the Year.  

STEPHANIE MCCONNELL

Principal, Consultant

Stephanie McConnell is a current principal in East Texas. She is an educational consultant and the face behind the website Principal Principles™. Stephanie has co-authored Morale Magic which is a book filled with ideas and printables you can use to boost your school's morale. 

Her campus was recently nominated to receive The Blue Ribbon Award. The Blue Ribbon signifies exceptional student performance on state assessments.

DISTRICT LEVEL LEADERSHIP TEAM

This team will consist of your key players who will be trained to assist the district in transforming each campus into a higher-performing school. We suggest bringing someone from each campus. If not feasible, bring at least 3-4 visioning leaders.

CAMPUS LEADERSHIP TEAM 

This team will consist of at least 3-4 key players who will be trained to assist the Principal in transforming the campus leadership vision. 

Example: Principal, Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, Teacher Leaders

RECEIVE TWO COACHING CALLS

YOU will receive two coaching calls via ZOOM. While on zoom, you will make connections and build a sense of community with the other attendees. This is a perfect professional learning community. Let's join back together twice a year and check back in on the process. Calls will be scheduled after school. 

SOCIAL MEDIA PRIVATE GROUP

If you choose, you will have the opportunity to join a private Facebook group designed to give you daily interaction and networking with other attendees from other sessions. This is designed to give you immediate support as you implement the ideas shared during the event or course.
